To achieve simplicity is complicated indeed.
Franck Hodelin is an interior designer known for the quiet sophistication of his work and for his subtle experimentation with materials and textures. His affinity for blending natural elements - such as juxtaposing nubby linen with buttery leather - evoke warm and serene environments. He approaches the architectural character of a space, and his sense of scale and proportion - in shape, color, light and material - drive the design process. The result is clean and simple design that blends colors and textures harmoniously.
“I view my work as modern seen through the eyes of a traditionalist,” Hodelin says.
Born and raised New York City, Franck Hodelin received his fine art degree from Pratt Institute and began his life as an interior designer. His early career was spent honing his craft working for such design luminaries as Bob Patino, Naomi Leff, Carleton Varney of Dorothy Draper & Company, and Gerner Kronick + Valcarcel Architects. In 2005, he launched Franck Hodelin & Company , which is known for graceful rooms with clean lines and clear architectural definition. Since then, Franck’s work has made numerous appearances on ABC television’s “The View” as their on-air design expert, providing home makeovers to lucky viewers around the country.
